SHE IS A SCAMMER

She is a liar, She is a liar,
She is a big lair,
She is a big big lair...

Pretending to be happy,
Like everything is as she desired,
But if you can open her up,
You will see burning inside her despair's pyre,
She is a lair, she is a lair....

Always keeps a smile on her face,
But observe for some time and you can trace,
From the clinching of the teeth,
In her soul there is suppressed a ball of fire,
She is a lair, she is a lair....

Moving effortlessly through the days,
Like she never gets tired,
But if you can read her mind,
All the time she keeps on thinking of time to retire,
She is a lair, she is a lair....

Walks there on the way,
Looks at the things and shows no interest,
Like she needs nothing,
But in her heart she has a thousand desire,
She is a lair, she is a lair....

So don't you believe what you see,
She is not what she seems to be,
She is just pretending to you and me,
Everything is fair and nothing she aspires,
She is a lair, she is a lair....

Medicine For Healing

I see you looking at your children,
Wondering what their lives will be.
If you verify some answers
Then their future you might see.

Have you taught them to be truthful?
Have you taught them to be kind?
Have you given them the wisdom
Needed to be color blind?

Have you taught them to be caring
For those differently abled people some way?
Do you read to them at bedtime?
Have you taught them how to pray?

Have you taken time to tell them
What a miracle life is?
How to be aware of nature,
Share the beauty that it gives?

Have you taught them how important
It is to have respect for one another?
To be grateful, not be prideful
When good fortune you discover?

Do you let them know you love them
In a way that leaves no doubt,
So they know that is one thing
That they will never be without?

We like to think we've done our best.
Sometimes that's very true.
Can you say 'yes' to all my questions?
I will leave that up to you.

I hope your answer is affirmative,
For then I know that you will see
A future filled with happiness
Like it's supposed to be.

Don't Judge Me Wrong

Take time to know me,
And you will see
That I am nothing like what
You have heard spoken of me.
Give me a chance and
I will prove to you
That although I am not perfect,
I have a heart that is pure and true

Take time to know me;
Just give it a try.
You will see that we are not
That much different, you and I.
I make mistakes, don't you?
But if you judge me by mine, expect that you will be
Judged by yours too.

Take time to know me,
You have nothing to fear.
Unless you wish to hang on to What you have been told by your peers.
Just for a minute put yourself in my shoes.
How would you feel if someone Was going by the rumors
They have heard about you?

Take time to know me;
What have you got to lose,
Besides the so called friends
Who have got you confused?
I am not asking you to
Choose between me and them,
And if they really care about you, They will always be your friends.

Take time to know me is all I ask,
No great feat or extraordinary task.
Then if you don't like me,
It will be because of what you Have seen and heard for yourself
And not because of what you Have been told by someone else.

Why Joke At Being Real?

She blew into my life
Like a sweet summer breeze,
Stole my heart in  instant,
Made me weak in the knees...

She seemed so sincere
When she'd look in my eyes
And say the things i've waited
To hear my whole life.

I thought she was different...
I thought she was real.
I never thought i could feel
the way she made me feel.

I just don't understand why
She wasted the time
When there was nothing
To gain on her end or mine.

It was perfectly senseless...
Not one reason why.
She would just disappear
Without saying goodbye.

She had me floating on air,
then let me crash to the ground.
It's too much to wrap my mind around.

Why joke at being real?
No one wins in the end.
Someone always gets hurt
When the other pretends.

Why say all those things
When you don't mean a word?
It's mean and it's cruel
It's completely absurd.

Now i'm left here to wonder
What could've gone wrong,
Why just stopped calling,
Why she strung me along?

My thoughts, they consume me, Like a crop consumes rain.
Another sleepless night just Might driven me insane.

I toss and turn over again.
I can't help but feel like
I've lost my best friend.

But a friend would be honest, Wouldn't play with your heart.
A friend wouldn't lie to you
Right from the start.

A friend would still be
There come tomorrow
A friend would comfort,
Not cause you sorrow.

I wonder
if...whatever her reasons may be
That surely she knew
Her actions would hurt me?

And i wonder if from time to time
The thought of me might cross her mind?

Does she think my "angel" eyes
Filled with tears because she lied?
Does my memory haunt her in  sleep?
For her it's probably not that deep.
I truly wish her all the best,
Hope she's okay and happiness...

Finds everything she's looking for...
Good health, true love and so much more.

I miss her, and it breaks my heart,
That it had to end
before it got to start.

WHO I’LL BE TOMORROW

If what I am,
And what I do,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If what I say,
And what I don’t,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If what I think,
With heartfelt wisdom,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If what I see,
And what I feel,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If what I speak,
Be it right or wrong,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If I am ugly,
To those I love,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If I could dare,
To hide a sin,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
If I only take,
And never give,
Makes me who I’ll be tomorrow,
I’ll have to stop and look at
Who I want to be tomorrow!

COUPLET-19

Two metres apart
 Is where we start
Then self-isolate
Before it’s too late
Wash your hands
Else virus expands
Using PPE
Helps safety

Society shut
We all stay put
Food shops empty
Used to be plenty
No supermarket trawl
Just Internet haul
But what of the old
Whose lives now unfold

There’s no face-to-face
Nor virtual place
We laugh, we sing, we joke
Keeps spirits up for us folk
Videos to see
WhatsApp glee
Woman’s sneeze
Toddler flees
Toilet roll
Not cash he stole

Human environmental attack
Pandemic weapon – nature fights back
World at war
Like never before
So many go that extra mile
Never happened for such a long while Good things can come out of so much pain Self-centred actions we all must refrain Once over it’s time to rethink
As humanity steps back from the brink Wake up call
For us all
